Day 1: Contact Heelwork Exercises : Start off with foundational heelwork, focusing on building strong contact and connection between you and your dog.
Day 2: Absence of the Handler with Distractions : Teach your dog to remain calm, even when you’re out of sight and distractions are present.
Day 3: Advanced Retrieve Work : Level up your dog’s retrieve with more complex tasks, including handling distractions and increasing difficulty.
Day 4: Food Refusal : Proof your dog’s ability to resist temptations like food, even in high-pressure environments.
Day 5: Send Away : Train your dog to respond confidently and quickly when sent to a target at a distance.
Day 6: Positions : Work on your dog’s ability to quickly and accurately switch between positions, whether from a distance or under distraction
Day 7: Little Wood (Nosework Exercise) : Cap off the week by developing your dog’s scent detection skills with the Little Wood exercise, ensuring a well-rounded obedience skillset.
